Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

An arm lift, or brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the upper arms, resulting in a more toned and contoured appearance. It’s a great option for those who have sagging skin on their arms due to aging or significant weight loss.

Procedure Details: Arm lifting, or brachioplasty, involves making an incision along the underside of the upper arm to remove excess skin and fat. The procedure tightens and smooths the arm’s contour, often required after significant weight loss or due to aging. The incision is usually placed in a way that minimizes visible scarring.

Post-Operative Care: After surgery, you’ll need to wear compression sleeves to minimize swelling and support the arms. Swelling, bruising, and discomfort are common and can be managed with medication. Avoid lifting heavy objects and strenuous arm movements during the recovery period.

Special Recommendations: Keep your arms elevated as much as possible in the initial days post-surgery, and follow your surgeon’s advice on wound care to prevent infection and promote healing.
